I met Everett Bo Bailey around 1980, his parents house was directly behind my sons fathers house. They were like family to the Colemans as they were like brothers as each one of Bos brothers seemed to be around the same age of the Colemans too. He was a very friendly and funny guy, and when I saw him at Salem when he joined, I felt like I had a westside connection, lol! When I graduated as a Sunday School Teacher, my intern class was in Everetts Discipleship Class, so I was too charged again to see him, knowing that at least one person in that class would understand the madness of Teacher Barbara, lol. Well, while teaching this class, God told me to tell him that he was going to be a preacher and when I did what God said to do, he just laughed and to see how he answered that call, I can do nothing but honor this man of God for his obedience to Gods call to the ministry of preaching/teaching and living Gods word. Oliver was in my next class and I remember some times Bo would come to class with Oliver, while other times he was there to just check on his brother. Then, we later on gain this connection with a man who needs no introduction, the late great Rev. Orlando Dallas, as God allowed him to work in his stead during Rev. Dallas final days, as he preached and served as the shepherd throughout the final days of Rev. Dallas transition, again, I was too charged as I was like here we go again. My last moments with Everett was the day Rev. Dallas made his transition as we were all there looking like lost puppies and I said to him hey, you remember when God told me that you were gonna preach and we both just busted out laughing, as it was really funny, as I just had to try to change to subject of the current environment that we were in. He was a great friend, and being from the westside of Chicago, literally in the back on the yards in connection to houses, was a true encouragement to me, that if no one during my teachings in that class could feel me, Everett Bo Bailey surely could. Well, RIParadise my friend, my buddy, my brother in Christ as you are one that will surely be missed. Please continue to keep this family lifted up in your prayers as his death was a sudden shock to us all, but um, not to God as I needed some clairification (silly me) from God and He simply said Everetts work is done, as I know God is well pleased with his work for God as I would therefore then have to ask you then when God allows you to breathe that final breath, will God be able to say these very same four words about you and me as well!
