I met this kid today in Burlington, WA. at the motorcycle shop. He lives on a small island in N.W. WA and is moving to New Mexico to study literature. He needed to replace his chain and a few other parts, and did it all outside the motorcycle shop. All his personal belongings are in the second picture. I chatted with him for a while and found out he had rebuilt the bottom end of the old Honda a couple weeks prior. After being informed he was not sure if he would make it to school in time, or if he even had enough money to make it to New Mexico I gave him $20. He expressed sincere appreciation and said, thanks, thats like 320 miles of fuel. I bid him safe travels, but felt a little weird driving away from him on my fresh BMW. Again, I wish you safe travels fellow traveller.
