I met with a guy who heads a leading Human Rights Organization. He of course inquired about my time in Norway. He wanted to know what I thought about their prison and legal system. I gave him my opinion and its simple: There are things I really like about it and I wish we could incorporate them here in the states. My fear is we are too far gone for that much change. Their system is not without flaw, but its a great model to strive for. Most interesting the orgs mission is non-partisan Human Rights and people dump money into them in ridiculous amounts. He whole-heartedly doesnt agree with Norways legal/prison system. So much for his hypocritical stance on Human Rights, eh? Were so great here, we rank #21. ihrri/contry.php
