I might not have tons of gold and diamonds draped on my body, but I have functional, meaningful pieces of jewelry. I might not have a huge house with fancy things but I have a beautiful, love filled home filled with childrens artwork and a garden! I might not have a fancy car but I have a great car with great mileage that gets me from point A to point B. I might not have time or energy to do my makeup and hair but I have inner beauty that takes its place. I choose to use my extra money and time to give. Whether it is food for the poor, a few dollars for the girl down on her luck, some dog food and toys for a homeless man and his dog, volunteering at food banks and community gardens, or giving healing oils for those who need them. So next time you make assumptions about peoples value by their appearance, remember me. I might not appear to be worth a lot, but I know in the Divines eyes, I am very valuable. We all are. Things do not equal value, actions and who you are do.
