I missed this male marking territory by spraying on the bark of a tree by few seconds. But one can make out its act by way of raised tail which is normally down straight between its legs. A tiger raise its tail horizontally when either it is spraying or sprinting a short run before he pounce on its prey. One will find its tail tip twitching (bushy part) when it is aware of something. Secondly, one got to watch for its body language such as diluting its pupil (iris), whiskers being pulled tight against its jaw and snarling or low growling to indicate its presence or a person crossing its limit. When it twitches vigorously one got to be aware of we are too close for its comfort and may charge with short but loud roar whether it is a mock or home....it is for other to explain or if alive can narrate the incident personally.
