I mourn Otieno Kajwang because of his contribution to building a united Luo Nation. For the first time in our history have the Luos been only a heart beat from power, not because our numbers increased but because Kajwang and his contemporaries railed around Jakom at the time of need which led to formation of the biggest ever political movement seen in Kenya .. The ODM, an amalgamation of all tribes of Kenya but one. He is among the LDP ministers to decamp from the National Rainbow Coalition to form the tsunami party the ODM. His loyalty to the Luo Nation was unequalled. As we morn Kajwang we remind ourselves of the stretch remaining in our match to Canan. We must remain focused we must not be derailed and we must be vigilant for the moles planted by our enemies. Those noise makers have a chance to field their candidate in the coming byelection. We want to show them that it took generations to build the Luo Union and no man shall break it. Not on my lifetime. Fare thee well my hero!
