I must admit that I had no idea of what I was getting myself into when I began this journey of getting a few students together to participate in the Brazilian Day Festival. I said to myself What in the world have I gotten myself into? With so many things going on in my life, a thought or two about changing my mind, and then seeing the excitement on my students face along with passion about the dance, I couldnt quit. I just couldnt. I remember the first day we did the frevo, I wanted to cry. I was so taken back of how beautiful they looked. They became my Sunday energy. I became their no-more-saturdays-parties and their cure-my-hangover-sundays In other words: Rehearsal. I was so blessed to have such an amazing group of people and I am so grateful for the love they have shown towards my culture, samba and my dreams.
