I must confess now because its too late for me to confess this to Fr. Atty. I once blamed him for being one of the reasons I had stopped going to Church. In my selfish mind I thought he was too harsh in his sermons maybe made the idea of eternal salvation too unattainable. The reality of it is that he was a wonderful priest, he was a blessing in my life, and he guided me tirelessly in the hopes of bettering my own personal relationship with God. As selfish as this is, I know that he would forgive me and that he would intercede my prayers of forgiveness to God. My hope is that I better myself more each day as an Orthodox Christian so that I may be a fraction deserving of such forgiveness.
