I must say for a highly rated and well know hotel they have managed to mess up just about everything. We checked in at 10:30 pm and went to our room where we found the air conditioner not working. We call to get the repair man who took 45 to get there. He came to fix it and worked on it a bit and then said the meter said it was cold air and it was ok. Steve pointed out that the blower was not working and the guy said it was ok. If you held a piece of paper in front of it it would not move. We then asked for another room and they moved us to the 3rd floor and said a bell man would come get our bags and bring the keys. We waited 10 minutes and noting so steve went to the front desk and came back and still no bell man. We moved our own bags and finally got to bed around 12:15...where I could not fall asleep for a while. Then at 4 am the fire alarm went off. they fumbled around for 15 minutes and finally said it was a false alarm. Then I had to try to fall asleep again. Then at 7:20 they started rolling carts across the courtyard to set up for an event. I lay there hoping they would stop and then around 8 they started cleaning the carpets on our floor...loudly. Now I went to have a massage ( which was excellent) and they overcharged us by $50...this is less than 24 hours so I am wondering what is next....Hotel Del Coronado sorry but so far you suck.
