I named my youngest son Brian because of this song. I often wonder why love is sooo scary, why trust is sooo elusive, why do we hurt those who get too close to your vulnerable side. We make judgements and assumptions either on what another did to us or the past. I should know better. I am not who i was. I loved unconditionally but pride wouldnt let me show it. There comes a time where we must make peace with the past or injustices done to you by others. I wish i can just say love and trust with your whole heart but sadly i cant. These two most powerful critical emotions are not valued even by those who think they value them. Me included. I pray to God that he may help me open my heart more to one who has never hurt me.. :(
