I need someone who is familiar with Employment Act from Singapore Ministry of Manpower regarding the Salary reduction section. If the company (Pte Ltd registered) hires sole proprietor for handling the logistics, the person who collected the money (in cash) but never returns it with reason (safety purpose for example). The company decided to deduct the pending payment (note: 50% deposit received for order) from the salary of the marketing exec (note: WP holder) who handles the order and ask the exec to chase the payment. Can employee sue the company under Employment Act?
