I need techie advice. Vicki bought me some macro extension tubes from Ebay for my birthday. I specifically asked her for these particular ones as they have the electrical connectivity for the autofocus etc and the seller went to great lengths to spell out that they work with Nikon AF-S lenses (which mine all are). Ive attached the link below. Anyway, Ive tried them on my D3100 and Vickis D50 and, while it attempts to focus (so the electrical connectivity is there) it doesnt actually focus on anything. In fact, no part of the image in the viewfinder is ever in focus. It looks like someone has smeared grease on the lens (if that makes sense).
