I need the help of geeks with more computer cred that I have. Theres a problem with the LRN.FM audio server that is totally baffling. The machine will randomly decide to have its network ability mostly fail. The streams disconnect, the podcast client wont download, and the web browser refuses to connect to any sites, including my router! However, it WILL ping sites on the internet. The only way Ive found to fix the issue is to restart the machine. This solves the problem, until it randomly happens again, usually within a week from reboot. I thought since its an old machine (circa 2009) that maybe the network port was going bad, so I switched to the other network port on the board. (Tyan S5220 motherboard) That did not solve the issue. I am running XP SP3. I have run a virus scan via Trend Micro Housecall and found nothing. Im totally baffled. Never seen anything like this before.
