I need to investigate getting a Garmin or Tom Tom. I have Google Maps and VZNavigator on my cell phone, but Google Maps is only accurate to about ¾ mile for me and VZNavigator has too many errors. The accuracy of Google Maps is because I have an old plan with a fairly new phone. A newer plan would be $70/Mo more. VZNavigator on several occasions wanted me to turn left or right on an interstate highway, really? And, had me at Miami airport looking for Chili’s. At least there was construction at the Miami airport, so could just be an outdated map database. When VZNavigator messed up, I used Google Maps to let me know where I am at. Anyway, between Google Maps and VZNavigator, it caused significant delays. Mapping errors might just be normal with any navigation system, but I hope a lot less when keeping maps up to date when using Garmin or Tom Tom.
