I need to vent please! While I was finishing my Masters and only working part time, no health insurance in part time work, I got insurance through the Gov. marketplace. It really was a good deal while not having insurance through my work. Well, I was blessed with a full time job, including health insurance, so I wanted to cancel the coverage I had. I called the insurance company and they said I had to go through the Gov. marketplace to cancel. Ok, I did that but not before they took the automatic withdrawal for September out of my account. I got a BILL yesterday saying I owed twice as much for the month of September than my usual bill was. Well, after about an hour on the phone the lady at the insurance company stated the insurance was cancelled and I will be getting a refund for half of Sept and to disregard the bill I got. I wonder how many people they do this to and how many people just pay the bill? Beware my Friends.
