I never do this, so pay attention: When I go somewhere, I always try to make friends with people, especially if I am DJing an event there. Yesterday at Spinners Resort & Marina, not only did the owners run off the wedding party and myself to make room for the band and crowd coming in to see the band, they are still being unbecoming of any definition of professional today. Last night, while I was being rushed to leave so that the band could start, I left a sound board behind. Well, thats my fault for not checking carefully enough behind myself before heading home. However, I called four times today to see if they could send any of their staff to the stage area to verify that my expensive piece of equipment was still there. I called during times that they were not busy (based off the amount of people that were there yesterday, and today is Sunday, so...) and they were very rude and claimed they were much too busy to help me out. Being in Charleston for a wedding today, I couldnt check myself. Again, they were too busy and, maybe you shouldnt have left it. Therefore, this is my scathing rant about the lack of professionalism from the owners of Spinners. The way they treat paying customers (the bride and groom, who payed thousands to have their one special day at their venue) and other professionals who work to bring business there. I wont be there again, I wont join their club, and I will make sure to persuade anyone who thinks about doing so against it. Shame on you people for running a business like that.
