I never gave a camp update yesterday! You people are supposed to - TopicsExpress

I never gave a camp update yesterday! You people are supposed to remind me, geesh... ;-) So, camp yesterday was different than the others. Kora struggled the ENTIRE day with the pending transition out of camp week. Everyone was so gracious and understanding. We were the ones sobbing under the tree, sobbing on the bench, sobbing in line for lunch, and giving out sobbing hugs. No biggie. We had a parade and a cookout and a little show. It was fun!! NOW for my pitch...If you are my friend AND a special needs parent, it is now mandatory that you attend next years camp if we are to remain friends. I know that sounds serious, and that some of you may actually find that appealing, however, please know that it is FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. Next years camp is August 10-14 at Raspberry Hill Farm in Sullivan. It takes an hour to get there from Janesville and this year we drove home everyday. It wasnt nearly as bad as I thought it would be driving. Next year we will be staying at a hotel with all of our new friends and maybe some old ones, too!! (I hear the local Staybridge is only around $300 for the whole week!) The cost of the camp is quite doable at $30 a person and is covered by CLTS (as may be the hotel!!). SOOOO, plan now and we can continue to be friends. This means all of the following people: Ellen, Angela, Colleen, Robin, Erin, Shannon, Jessica, Susan, Dianne, and all those I cannot remember. :-) Robin, B is too old to be a camper but would be a GREAT helper!! And Lolita, I thought of you LOTS this week and know you would just THRIVE working with these kiddos at camp!! (If you wanted to volunteer, you could be Koras buddy! And you could stay with us, if that wouldnt be too much time with us crazies!) I love you all, now go write it down. christiandisciplefarm
