I never knew Robin Williams personally, and odds are that most - TopicsExpress

I never knew Robin Williams personally, and odds are that most people whove posted about his death didnt either, but theres absolutely nothing wrong with acknowledging the death of another person or being upset about it. He was a very talented man with a great film and comedy career, and most of us grew up watching his movies, and some may very likely have seen him as an inspiration. To criticize others for posting about him, or any other person who dies regardless of their personal connection or lack thereof, is completely ignorant. Youre just bandwagoning and trying to get likes for posting about him. Some people might but you would be accusing anyone who posts about him of that, which isnt always the case. True, Robin Williams never personally did anything for me and I never met him, but I still acknowledge how much he meant to others and see no harm in talking about it. Death is sad no matter who it happens to, despite what the person meant to you. Its not only sad for him but also for his family and friends, who Im sure are having a hard time coping with such a loss. To anyone who has lost someone, or suffers from depression like Williams did, my heart goes out to you. And if youre the kind of trash to try to be edgy by criticizing others for posting about someones death, thats a good way to get blocked.
