I never post things like this but this hit me so hard I just pray that it reaches the person its directed towards ..... A hot temper drives the wedge between you and your loved ones. Esau resented his brother Jacob so much that he wanted him dead. When his mother Rebecca heard this she sent Jacob a way to live in Haran. As a result the family was separated and suffered. Angry people intimidate others and rob them of their sense of security and peace of mind. Psychologists say its a leading cause of divorce, child abuse, and addiction. What a terrible price to pay! It undermines a life that pleases God. Understand this. Be Slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Your anger isnt just your own Bussiness its Gods business too because it hinders your ability to live the life he intended. You cant be right with God until your right with others. Blinds you to reality. Looking through the lens of misguided anger, you see only what you choose to see. It causes you to focus on options like revenge and retribution. Saul saw David as a threat, someone who planned to take his kingdom and thrown. So he looked at David with suspicion from that day on. His anger made him see David as someone who deserved to die because he was Gods choice to succeed him as Israels next king. Sadly it also kept him from seeing that David was actually his best friend. Dont let that happen to you. Im not usually a person that reads spiritual books or the bible but lately Ive devoted my days to my bible and my daily devotional and this meant so much to me I had to share .... I hope YOU read this and YOU know who YOU are then please read it again and again until it sinks in and you realize what is really going on and what is lost .....
