I never really comment much on anything these days, but I really felt strongly about doing so this time. Man of Steel – More like “Man of STEAL.” You will leave the movie theatre feeling like they stole your money and your time. That is what is so wrong with Hollywood and with most of our planet in my opinion - Always trying to fix what is not broken. We took my father on Father’s Day to go see this movie thinking it would be out of this world…..about the only thing that was out of this world was Superman himself…he turns out to be an ALIEN…really? Okay…ummmm…okay. OH and the actor is British…because Hollywood just couldn’t seem to find anyone in America amongst the thousands talented starving actors. While I appreciated the special effects, great sound, cinematography and a little bit of the background history of how Superman came to be, that is all that was really worth seeing in this movie. Okay okay. And Amy Adams was good too….and I’m sure some lusted over Superman’s body. It took big names to draw box office attention, Russel Crowe, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Christopher Meloni, Laurence Fishburne and Amy Adams. We move next to the PUNCHING GAMES. I have never seen so much punching …EVER! The poor sound effects creators must of being exhausted after each scene. Note to self, if you have children, I wouldn’t recommend you taking them to see this movie. They tried to humanize Superman by showing us his remorse as he dramatically takes the life of a human being to save humanity. Really? You put us through this whole rigmarole of a so called movie to show us this? That was absolutely hilarious. His conscious didn’t seem to bother him as much while he wrecked one building after another…how many lives did that take Superman? Lol And talk about product placement!!! Double LOL! SEARS and IHOP….WOW! What great commercials! Okay..I’m done
