I never really stood a chance when I became ill. I am a 6 month old girl called Kubota, born on the streets of Phuket, Thailand. With no owner to care for me, things just went from bad to worse. Animal Rescue Officer Khun Jaroon found me one day, extremely weak and about to give up on life. He raced me to the Soi Dog shelter, where I was examined by Dr. Eed. I heard her say I had anaemia and blood parasites. When she held me, I knew I was safe. That was a new feeling for me. I have been started on treatment now and the vets are hoping I will make a full recovery. There are thousands of dogs like me; I am just one of the lucky ones.
