I never saw the commercial, but Ive been hearing about it. Ive seen two arguments over it, either praising the COR. POR. A. TION. for their diverse thinking, or condemning the COR. POR. A. TION. for bastardizing an iconic national song. Ive heard enough about it that I dont even care about seeing it. I just chalk it up to Coca-Cola is doing its best to boost sales and nothing more. Some ad exec apparently thinks they are reaching out to a wider audience this way. As much political validity as the average person keeps trying to put into this, we all seem to lose sight of the truth: This is an ad. For a company. Trying to sell a product. Money. Buy this. Nothing more.
