I note that the NUT National Disciplinary Committee and the NUT have been instructed by the Trades Union Certification Officer to scrap all disciplinary charges against Andy Parsons of Nottinghamshire and all sanctions it had applied to him following his sending an email to members in Nottinghamshire about alleged irregularities in the use of union funds. The NUT was found to be in breach of its own rules regarding the right of members to criticise the running of the union. Perhaps the NUT would now like to offer an apology to Andy and the other Nottinghamshire officers and members who appeared as witnesses on his behalf.
