I notice that the more natural, organic, expensive a food is, the better story behind it. Lets say you buy organic raw honey almonds, picked by puppies and licked by bunnies. They have a whole cool story on the package such as: Almonds have always had a rich history dating back to the early days of California. My great, great, grandparents revered almonds as a food of the gods. In 1992 I continued the legacy and opened up Precious puppy almonds and bunny butter. My passion has evolved into a business that is socially responsible as well as personally satisfying. You can purchase my almonds, and nut butters with a clear conscious knowing our mission coincides with yours. (yea right, my mission is to eat a fantastic almond, and the companies is to make some money, but whatever). Then you go to a regular store that sells regular almonds, about half the price, and no story. Just a package. I guess they cant write, buy these radiated, non organic, 9 months in storage, handled by people that dont wash their hands almonds. So they just say nothing. I prefer to pay for the cool story is my point. Plus, anything picked by puppies and licked by bunnies has to be pretty damn good.
