Come nest with me!, then flying away to a different tree or branch, begging the question of the males, who knows the best place to nest? The males are all trying to answer. Some fight with each other, each one saying I am the one to whom she speaks!. Many take a high perch and chirp out their call, in answer and challenge all who try to sing their call from a better perch. Perched low and quiet, on the fence-line... searching for the place to find her, with a fine twig in his beak for an answer. Its Spring now...
