I noticed in the last couple parshiot, including the next one coming up, that in the word עלה, pronounced olah, meaning an ascending offering that in Lev 1 is said to bring atonement, the ו which would be the letter representing the o in this case, is missing. In other words, the o is hidden. INteresting this letter is a spike or a hook- the name of which appears 13 times in the Torah (13 attributes of G-d by which He forgives sin!). The vowel is indicated by a dot over the left side of the ע in a pointed text- in the original texts it was hidden but inferred This nikud, or vowel, is called cholem meaning dreamer. It is a lofty other worldly nikud according to the Bahir, and according to Tikun 5 of Tikunei Zohar, is messianic (not that the Rashbi says so in these words) in that it represents Yoseph the dreamer who was rejected by his brothers and later by his rule and authority saved them. According to this Tikun, this nikud, or vowel, progresses to represent the Stone that the builders rejected of Psalm118, and then the Stone not cut with hands that destroys the empires who try to destroy the Jews. Hmmm.
