I noticed in this group that every time the subject of African history arises there is an overwhelming presentation of information about Egypt and this is fine but Egypt wasnt the only great empire in Africa. Egypt was the child of Ethiopia but rarely do I see any mention of Ethiopia on our threads. I see my Kemetic brothers presenting informations that shows Kemetic science and religion predating western religion and science by thousands of years, but never mention that African consciousness is thousands of years older than Kemet. Nubia was another amazingly advance empire in antiquity that revivaled Egypt. The Nubians built pyramids and there were even Nubian pharaohs that ruled Egypt but this imformation some how has been lost. I took this insert from a book hoping to not only prove my point but to hopefully inspire my brothers and sisters to seek further knowledge. Ethiopians were the first men that ever lived, the only truly autochthonous race and the first to institute the worship of the gods and the rites of sacrifice. Egypt itself was a colony of Ethiopia and the laws and script of both lands were naturally the same; but the hieroglyphic script was more widely known to the vulgar in Ethiopia than in Egypt. This knowledge of writing was universal in Ethiopia but was confined to the priestly classes alone in Egypt. This was because the Egyptian priesthood was Ethiopian. The highly developed Merodic inscriptions are not found in Egypt north of the first cataract or in Nubia south of Soba. These are differences we would expect to find between a colony and a parent body. Herodotus says that Meroe was a great city and metropolis, most of its buildings were of red brick. 800 B. C. at Napata, the buildings were of hard stone. If we are truly enlightened we need to know our entire history not just the part that is glorified or glamorized by Arabs and Europeans.
