I noticed the Muslims quickly evaded this post from before because they could not intelligently respond!!! Brought back by popular demand... Here is concept that Muslims have a hard time explaining using their Koran. In fact, if you follow the Law of First Mention, a Muslim logically would have to turn to the Previous Scriptures. Questions: Why was Jesus born of a virgin and what was the purpose for the birth to be a sign to all people? Why was it necessary for Jesus to be born of Mary alone but not with a father? Now Muslim attempt to alleviate this dilemma by referencing the creation of Adam, yet they are caught in committing the fallacy of equivocation assuming the events are synonymous. Remember, Adam was created from the dirt, clay, semen, water, take your pick as the Koran unfortunately contradicts itself. However, Jesus was born of a virgin after thousands of years of natural births. Why? Something must have required that Jesus be born in this manner? Why was Jesus born this way and no one else was or would ever be again? What was it about the birth that was going to make them believe? The people were not going to see the Holy Spirit impregnate Mary...so what was the purpose of the supernatural birth? What made this a sign? Since this sign could not be verified and must be taken upon as faith, how was it a sign? A miracle is something that was done so that people can see it and believe; yet no one saw the virgin birth? Surah 19:21 Sahih International He said, Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed. Pickthall He said: So (it will be). Thy Lord saith: It is easy for Me. And (it will be) that We may make of him a revelation for mankind and a mercy from Us, and it is a thing ordained. Yusuf Ali He said: So (it will be): Thy Lord saith, that is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us:It is a matter (so) decreed. And Mary, daughter of Imran, whose body was chaste, therefore We breathed therein something of Our Spirit. And she put faith in the words of her Lord and His scriptures, and was of the obedient. Sura Tahrim 66:12 (Pickthal) The Koran confirms that Jesus Christ had no earthly or physical father. It again tells us that God breathed His Spirit into Mary, thus it could be said that Jesus was Allah himself. Again note that this is a unique Birth for Jesus alone, no other person or prophet or holy man ever or will ever be born this way. Miracles in the past were visible and used to draw people to God; yet since God is Spirit, and it was the Holy Spirit that caused Mary to conceive, yet no one saw, so again how was this a miracle?
