I now have a High School Graduate. To my beautiful daughter... I am BEYOND proud. From your first days at Galloway 13 years ago, I said school is your job - work hard and do the best that you can do every single day. Well... not only did you do the best that you could do, you did the best that ANYONE could do. I know that as a parent I put a lot of pressure on you to be excellent. Well - you surpassed every possible expectation and blazed a trail that I could only admire from my perch - but never, ever follow. As Gordon said, at best I could only stand on the shoulders of a giant. Soak all of this in... and enjoy your success. Challenges await... let them wait for a little while longer. :-) I love you... .and Ill always be your biggest fan. To The Galloway School... and the seniors there. What a wonderful celebration of the class of 2014 and a fabulous send-off into the world last night. The commencement service was truly like no other - a stage for every young man and woman to assert the individuality that each has evolved during their years at this incredible institution. I am grateful to the teachers, the administration and more broadly, to the community for helping to raise my daughter. In this day and age, it truly takes a village to raise a child. And with a nod to Elliot Galloway... this village that he created has successfully raised another 70.
