I often do ask myself; what makes David so unique that God called - TopicsExpress

I often do ask myself; what makes David so unique that God called him ‘a man after His heart’ – is it because immediate repentance of sins whenever he committed them or was it because he always seek to know Gods words and principles? Likewise do I often wonder why Job is so exceptional that out of the many, only his uprightness prompt God’s recommendation in heaven, God did not even hesitate to permit Satan to test him – was it because he is the only upright man of his time or because he is so good and so generous? Yesterday, I committed a sin even when I knew within me that this is a test of integrity, even when my spirit is clearly asking me to flee, I succumb to the flesh and fail my test. Then today, I repeated the same sin I was sorry for yesterday. I was so so sorry, I felt so ashamed, I cried and then this voice came to me … Do u now see why David is so unique, though he do sin but anytime he repented, & seek God’s face, he never commit that sin again …Can God brag about your integrity and uprightness just like Job? Can you stay faithful and overcome trials just as he did? I now saw clearly, why I can’t compare myself to David or Job? I now see why God is still hurting because of me – having the form of godliness but denying the power thereof! I am still not worthy to be call a woman after God’s own heart nor am I upright enough to be boast of by God. Lord, no more do I want to say ‘the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak’; if Your grace can be sufficient for Job to stand the test even up to the end, that grace can still abound for me. If You can show David Your ways and teach him Your precept, Lord You can direct my steps too and teach me Your status so I may not sin against You. What I ask of from You this Easter is to know You more and experience the power of Your resurrection .
