I often find myself studying entertainment more than enjoying/consuming it. Watching this NFL playoff game, I was astounded how quickly they produce the highlights. Only minutes (maybe seconds) after a play occurred, they are airing a clip (fully edited) on national television. That really is impressing to me.. How quickly and efficiently they have to react to make that happen. After reflecting on my thought which inspired this status I realized, I dont even actually listen to music anymore to just listen and enjoy it. I am always studying it. Studying the recording.. the production.. the arrangement they decided upon.. the mixing and the mastering. I have decided this to be a good thing as I am only honing my craft like any other profession, but not without a quick sad thought. lol. Depending on how you see it, I am literally always working.
