I often read comments and posts with people talking trash about those who are on Welfare or receive government subsidies. They are all thrown into a stereotype as though all were blood-sucking leeches. Lately it seems everyone talks about them depicting someone with foodstamps in one hand and an iPhone in the other. Yes there are some people who abuse the system, but that should not define everyone else, who for whatever reason ended up needing assistance. And... If you want to talk about people taking government subsidies and abusing the system, lets talk about those individuals who get tax cuts, corporations that get all sorts of exemptions and then do not even pay their employees enough so they end up on government assistance. Who is more at fault here. Some of these people are the same who talk shit about our welfare system but who cause more people to be in it. I agree with Joe Biden and everyone who is working to raise the minimum wage. People who work 40 hours a week should not live in poverty. I know so many people who work 2 or 3 jobs, they rent, and some live piled up in homes and just cant make ends meet on their meager salary. RAISE THE MINIMUM WAGE!
