I often see posts with questions about feeding to gain weight and coat, etc, and just wanted to throw out there that this is my little pony who came back to me about a month ago, and has changed dramatically over the past few weeks. No blame placed on the people who had him, just conditions he wasnt used to and just not the right place - so please no hate on them, they are friends I still keep in contact with. Anyway, he is fed grassy hay, weightlifter calm + canola oil, and we grow our own barley in a Fodder Solutions Machine (he had access to grass but not that much until recently). Hes on no more than 1.5 dippers of feed, 2 biscuits of hay, and 1 biscuit of fodder. The change in his weight, coat and persona has been absolutely huge, and I would definitely recommend all to anyone who asks - especially the barley set up (which comes to 80c per day per horse)!
