I once had a philosophy Professor tell me that the death penalty didnt deter crime and didnt stop anyone from committing murder or any other capital crime. My question to him was after the execution, did the condemned individual commit any more crimes. He said no. I said then it was 100% effective in that instance now wasnt it? He never approached the subject of capital punishment again while I was in his class. He was so red face that I thought he was gonna explode. Liberal Professors dont much care for logic.
