I once had the rare occasion to meet someone I’d always known. Although many years and continents apart, I looked in her eyes and knew exactly who she was without knowing her identity. In our known universe, time is relative thus not a constant. Energy, however is a constant. Olive Barnett’s energy is constant, strong, radiant and beautiful with a purity one would expect of an angelic being. It was one of the most remarkable moments in my life to have my first conversation with her. Olive’s life is amazing, full of diverse experiences and adventures, it is rich with family and friends who like anyone who meets her, adore her. I attribute our re-introduction to the uncommon strength of her energy that carries an unmistakable signature, like knowing someone’s name. Our first conversation took place over some great whiskey by the boma and was that of old friends recanting great experiences. When she told me that in another life she was sure we shared a great love and friendship I was neither surprised nor dubious. It was simply factual and seemingly common knowledge to me and with this my life was forever changed. I believe in multiple temporal existences that span all of time yet are individually limited. It’s also my belief that against infinite odds you may encounter someone from another past or future that you both occupy. I don’t feel that my energy is particularly special, it was just sheer luck to have been in her presence in some part of time that had written the code that binds us forever. I could go on, but I have already said the important things. My dearest Olive is currently in very poor physical health and while there is no reason to fear for her as she is as always my Olive Eternal, I am certainly distressed at the possibility of losing my friend once again to time. Forever in my soul, I would not have to look far to find her, it’s just the human side of me stressing on that. My heart goes out to Lou, Quentin, Tzigane and everyone loves her as I do.
