I personally think that they need to investigate James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa Florida ... I have been waiting for over two years to get spinal surgery ... going from CT Scans/MRIs to Neurosurgery Clinics to Neuro Clinics to CT Scans/MRIs back to Neurosurgery clinics and back to Neuro Clinics ... Back and Forth ... Still in pain with increased chemical pills (Tramadol and Tylenol 3s) with up to four to six month waits ... I get to see my Primary care provider e=once every 7 months unless they can squeeze me in IF I need to see her ... or Travel 71 miles to James A. Haley Emergency room IF I need to see some one on the same day ... I requested from the Neurosurgery chief Surgeon to transfer me to a Civilian Neurosurgeon locally and have been denied ... I am sure that there are many more like me or worse off who have to travel71 miles or more to get care at James A,. Haley ... Use to, we could get travel pay the same day that we had appointments ... Now we have to wait from 7-10 weeks to get our travel pay and, up to a year or two ago I was paid $63..00 for round trip from my place of residency to James A. Haley ... To years ago, they cut our travel pay almost in half ... Now I get paid $40.00 ... They dont EVEN pay me for my travel to James A. Haley every time that I have to go for appointments (Sometimes twice a week) ... They tell me that now, they have to pay me from my residency to Avon Park which is the closest Community Based Outpatient Care facility of which Im not even assigned to nor have i ever been there for treatment ... My Primary Care Provider is at the Community Based Outpatient Care facility in Lakeland. I have received my healthcare at James A. Haley since 1991 and have had EXCELLENT care up to about 2-3 years ago, then everything changed ... Obamas CHANGE and MOVING FORWARD is absolutely NOT FOR THE GOOD OF THE VETERAN ... IT IS NOW OBAMACARE in action that is for the WORST of the Veteran.
