I picked up a hitch hiker on I-185 Tuesday afternoon. Took him about 10 miles south on I-85 to a fuel stop. I would have taken him further to at least my exit but, its where he needed to get off since I wasnt going in his direction. He was on his way home from the Greenville hospital to get back to work. He said, his wife was in there for some reason, I dont recall. However, I didnt ask or prod. Just felt he could use a lift, him being without transportation. I did get from him that he is picked up by someone daily to go to work. He does work, that is a good thing. When I dropped him off, I gave him an Andrew Jackson and asked him to Pay It Forward. That someday he will see someone in a pickle and he can offer kindness, however he is capable of offering, without being asked.
