I played and I have watched football for decades, but I have been - TopicsExpress

I played and I have watched football for decades, but I have been saying over and over that I do not know this game anymore - and I have watched my last one. They did not overturn a call when you could see the nose of the ball hit the ground, and overturned a call when a player caught the ball, took three steps toward the goal line, extended for it, had an elbow down at the one foot line as the ball was extended to the goal line, and this they say did not constitute a football move. Really? I thought it was a tremendous catch and effort. Troy agreed with the reversal, I have to assume because he does not want to appear to be a homer. Mike Pereira agreed and he is supposed to the the Fox expert on NFL calls, so I guess that is how the game is played. I dont understand. I dont understand $1.2B stadiums. I dont understand $100M+ contracts. I do understand who pays for both - and that is us - the consumer - and I dont like the product. I dont know the rules of the game. I know that I do not need to waste anymore time watching? No more playoffs. No more Super Bowls. I will figure out something else to do for the next 40 years. Hasta la vista pro football. Oh, and I wont be watching the ultimate college game tomorrow either. A team wins by 52 and gets dropped 3 places out of the poll, and out of the playoff picture, because Ohio State makes for better TV than TCU. I did not watch the AL-OSU or OR-FSU, because I thought it was bogus. I know what TCU did to the other team that beat AL - they beat Ole MS like a drum - by 39 - so I anticipate in the final poll they will be out of the top 10. All I can do is exercise my option to not watch and I am sure people will continue to fill the stands and watch the games on TV. Me? I am DONE!
