I popped along today to check out the anniversary weekend stuff happening on and around Queens Wharf today. Got partially cooked in the sun, but was glad to see a sunscreen station which I definitely used! First photos Ill put up here -- the most successful part of the set-up down there are the huge boxes in the closed-off part of Quay Street. If you want to put heritage right out there, in front of peoples noses, this is the way to go. Folks were posing for pictures in front of these, stopping to read the captions, and the general vibe I got from people was that, like me, they were really impressed. Big thumbs up to whoever came up with this concept. Please repeat during Heritage Festival (weather permitting)! :)
