I post a fair bit because I care about things and I work as a humourist so I keep outputting my thoughts on here because of the immediate nature of the medium. This makes me a frequent target for negative comments and I engage with some of those comments to try and explain why positivity is better and respecting the right of other people to express unfettered. But sometimes I just delete the comments for the sake of efficiency and I noticed something interesting. 9 times out of 10 the person will post soon afterwards saying where has my comment gone and I politely ask what it was. Not once has someone re-posted their comment. Maybe this is because they have a cooldown period or when they think a second time the comment doesnt hold up to scrutiny. Maybe we should all be like these people, thinking a second time. Without the posting first time part.
