I posted a link below about how perhaps we need to stop watching football as it continues to foster an environment devoid of morals and accountability. I suggested that perhaps I wouldnt be so quick to judge if we were talking about the film industry--which I love. Like all good friends do, I got some links pushed my way. This was the most upsetting (I couldnt get the Slate one to work, but GAWKER is saying essentially the same thing). This is me saying, Im sorry. Im sorry I didnt know, or didnt pay attention, or didnt care enough to do anything about it. As an avid movie watcher, as a lover of things by Polanski, Woody Allen, Cosby, Gibson, etc...this is me publicly saying: IM DONE. There is no art beautiful enough to ignore the ugliness of the artist. There are wonderful, beautiful films created by people that do not abuse and assault women and children.
