I posted last week about the cracked sewage pipe. Well, I finally got it out and put the new one in. The first picture shows the underside of the section that was cracked on top. It was much worse on the bottom than it was on top. It was cheap thin-wall pipe from the early 1980s, and I dont think they make it anymore. Maybe this is why. The second picture shows the new pipe, schedule 40 PVC, the kind used for well casing. I dont think it will give us any problems. I put in a two-way cleanout tee, just in case of future problems. My only worry now is that the rest of the pipe, going the rest of the way to the septic tank, might develop the same kind of problem.
