I posted the following in our family site last night. Per mom, I am sharing with everyone ;) Mom and dad will be spending Christmas at St. As, but this is a good thing! Today physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech path (for cognitive and memory) all stopped in and worked with dad. He was a trooper and did everything they asked of him. His legs continue to get stronger and he was moving well! We now are in the process of moving him to the rehab unit. Looks like he could be spending 2 weeks or more on that floor. Here he will have 3 hours of combined therapy 5 days a week. As long as we see progress, they will continue to work with him. He is actually very excited. Getting his legs back, gaining strength and confidence! I have to say that this weekend with him and mom was a blessing. I heard more fall out of my chair laughing one liners, than I have heard in the past year. Nothing better than seeing my dads sense of humor come through! Most of the nurses took a minute to get his jokes, but when they realized he was teasing them, they all got a huge kick. :) Thank you all for the continued prayers! We feel and see them working more every day! I can honestly say this is the most amazing Christmas gift! I will continue to update here...if I start slacking, feel free to message me a reminder ;) Merry Christmas!
