I posted the status below a couple of days ago, and some people misinterpreted what was written below. If church begins at 10:00, and you casually walk in at 10:05, 10:15, 10:30 etc., and then leave before church is dismissed to get out the parking lot quickly; youre not looking for an experience with God, youre just coming out of routine. Hungry people come and want to sit in the presence of God, and wont leave until they are saturated with His presence. Gods time must be more important than your time! First, I will say, I WILL NOT compromise the truth! However, the above status does not apply to those who are in situations beyond their control (work,...etc.). That message was for those who just casually walk into the church, and had nothing else to do, but get up and get to church. Everything we do in the body of Christ is a HEART ISSUE! We arent late to work, because we will get fired. If you were going to a concert you paid for, you would be on time. If your kids had a dance recital, you would be the first in line. It just seems when we are doing things for God, we tend to drag our feet like He isnt the reason we have breath in our body! I KNOW BECAUSE I WAS THERE! When you become more mature in Christ you will realize that we (the church) worship to bring Gods Shekinah Glory into the temple! The word is fed to us for meat, the alter call is to grab the people to come to Christ, and the benediction is to release us to continue to walk in the things of God. When we miss parts of service, we are missing God. Everything we do in Christ in the church is intentional! Trust me when you are REALLY hungry for God you will be one of the first ones there bringing in the presence of God. Remember, we can go to the building to get a word, but that doesnt mean God was there. Feel good word doesnt always equate to God being in the midst!
