I posted this earlier - but unfortunately it did not keep in tact Mark Zaids text that provides context - here it is: On Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at 10:00 AM in Courtroom 8 of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia my client Anthony Shaffer and I will be appearing before Judge Rosemary M. Collyer for a hearing on Defendants Second Motion for Summary Judgment. The Court informed us that The parties briefing is inadequate as to the classification status of certain information that allegedly is connected to Plaintiffs receipt of a Bronze Star Medal and testimony before Congress....To the extent possible in open Court, counsel should be prepared to discuss both Plaintiffs Bronze Star Medal and congressional testimony. This case was filed in December 2010 to challenge the unlawful government redactions in violation of the First Amendment of Tonys book OPERATION DARK HEART. This is an OPEN hearing and I encourage journalists to attend. It should be very interesting to say the least. For a good recounting of what this case is about, read Peter Lances article in Playboy. Dont worry, there are no photos of either Tony or me!
