I posted this status update back in May. (Its the type of information Ill be including in the memoir.) I thought it was so interesting that Id share it again, especially in light of the new Second Opinion movie that just came out. ~~~~~~~~~~ A recent study showed that approximately 35% of US citizens believe that promising cancer treatments are being suppressed by the US government. This has been widely discussed as a conspiracy theory. But whats interesting is that in many countries typically thought of as experiencing far more medical regulation than the US, so-called socialist countries -- such as Germany, Canada, Japan, China, New Zealand, Australia, and Mexico -- already have all or some of the options below already available to patients who want to try them. Most of these methods have hundreds to thousands of citations in PubMed (even if some of the papers citing these methods question their validity and usefulness), and the ones with asterisks have been studied in clinical trials. The broader treatment choices people with cancer have in other countries — countries typically thought of as highly regulated and “socialist” — is not a conspiracy theory. Its a fact. And it indicates that something is deeply, deeply wrong with the US medical approach to cancer treatment. insulin-potentiated chemotherapy chelation *dendritic cell vaccines (banned outside clinical trials) *Coley vaccine (uncertain: probably banned outside clinical trials) dietary therapy *hyperbaric oxygen *hyperthermia (banned in US) *laetrile (banned in US) *Vitamin C ozonation/oxygenation *virotherapy (banned outside clinical trials) *mistletoe *pancreatic enzymes
