I praise God that hes caused me to highly function due to new ideas for treatment in Mast Cell disorders with my very progressive physician. However....there are many pts who still struggle and no treatment regimens work for them because they have more aggressive versions than I have. Many patients are in wheel chairs, homebound, have PICC lines or Ports for access, have ostomy bags for bowels or bladder, need scent-trained pets to pick up on anaphylaxis early, must wear large p-100 masks everywhere, cant leave their homes whatsoever, must spend lots of money on making their environment safe and have lost their jobs. Our research PhD- MDs are constantly looking for money to research these diseases for our safety and also to benefit the general population at large with their own allergies as the regular IgE allergy uses the mast cell to protect the body.
