I pray that the justices do the right thing on Monday with regards to Hobby Lobby. This was never about womens rights to birth control pills or abortifacients, women are free to obtain these things as they see fit. There is no sign on any pharmacy in the US banning women from getting these things & if you cant afford them, there are plenty of Planned Parenthood clinics & state run clinics to assist you. The issue is forcing religious based employers like Hobby Lobby or the Catholic church to pay for & provide these things, when they object to them due to their religious faith. It has never been a secret that companies like Hobby Lobby are Christian based. Many liberals would have you believe that somehow, this is trampling on the rights of women & thats pure propaganda. Before the #Obamacare mandate, 71% of Catholic women were ALREADY using birth control. Hmmm I wonder how they managed to take care of their own reproductive needs w/o Uncle Sam. The reality is, such employers & their supporters are doing the very thing that the left wants: STAYING OUT of the personal, reproductive needs & decisions that each woman has always been able to make for themselves. If a woman wants #birthcontrol pills or abortifacients, thats between she & her doctor, and the right nor religious institutions are standing in the way. Its funny to me that advocates of such legislation arent the slightest bit interested in the rights of men, which just shows their bias. If birth control for women must be covered for free, then wheres the legislation forcing employers, religious or otherwise to provide free vasectomies? Is reproductive equality only for women? If you want your employers healthcare to cover these things, GET A JOB WITH ONE WHO COVERS IT & stop it with the war on women nonsense.
