I pride my self on having a wide and varied interest in music, my passion is rare sixties and seventies soul and Northernsoul music of which I suppose I am in love with but I will listen to anything even if I have to force my ear and brain to appreciate the stranger sounds and for this I feel quite good indeed but there is one genre of music that I just don’t get and believe me I have tried but I hate Ska music with a passion, I have tried and tried to both appreciate and enjoy this music but it just all sounds the same and if the truth be know it always sounds to me like comedy music? Every time I hear it I see cartoon characters chasing each other ready to throw a custard pie? I know over half of my friends list are bonkers over this genre and love this music, I wish I could get into it but I can’t. It bores me and troubles me at the same time because I know how deeply engrained into the British psyche this music is, every other bleedin advert on telly has a Ska track and it makes people smile and tap their toes ……I fookin hate it…….. I am disgusting
