I propose the Vote under Penalty of Perjury Act of 2013. Under this act, if congress is split on a bill, if there is not at least 20% bipartisanship (from either side of the aisle), in order for a bill to be passed through congress, each member must cast their vote, under oath, that the intentions of the bill, will do as they say. In the case of Obamacare, there was 0% bipartisanship. Further, it was passed via reconciliation (meaning it was NOT passed through congress the conventional way with a vote). It was Deemed Passed. Every democrat who voted for this bill is either: 1) Purposely destroying the country 2) Completely inept at the realities of what the Republic was created to be 3) A bit of both They told the American people the following (sorry for cliche): 1) Health Care costs would decrease by $2500+ 2) Health Insurance would be available to all in an affordable price bracket 3) You could keep your doctor 4) There would be know death panels 5) The government would play NO role in treatments between you and your MD 6) It would not add to the debt 7) It would not add to the deficit 8) Medicare would be protected at all costs 9) No one earning less than $250,000 will see tax hike due to this law or any law 10) Companies will hire more workers due to more affordable insurance rates Results: 1) LIE! Millions of Americans have seen their rates skyrocket, of course. 2) LIE! Millions of Americans have received their cancelation notices 3) LIE! Doctors are quitting. Doctors are not taking Obamacare insurance. 4) LIE! Independent Payment Advisory Board, or IPAB exists to ration care. 5) LIE! See #4 6) LIE! Projection of $800 billion is now almost $2 Trillion 7) LIE! See #6 8) LIE! Medicare was robbed of $800 Billion & seniors are turned away from their MD 9) LIE! US Supreme court legalized the ACA because the fines are taxes! For all! 10) LIE! 90 Million out of work. Companies laying off and dropping from health plan. In scenarios like this - the only accountability for these kinds of tragedies of thievery and plundering of the republics soul is to force the bastards in Washington to cast their votes under penalty of perjury. If this proposed law were in place in 2009, the entire democrat party would be in jail for knowingly giving false testimony (their vote) to the American people and to the sanctity of congress in general. If the public has to swear under oath with penalty of perjury when they testify before congress or a court, so should members of congress.
